Stop Sign At Routes 53 And 107 In Redding May Be Changed

REDDING, Conn. -- Redding Police Chief Douglas Fuchs will request that the state change traffic patterns at the intersection of Routes 53 and 107 in an effort to lessen the morning traffic snarl, according to the Redding Pilot.

The town of Redding may change the rules for the stop sign at Route 107 to alleviate morning traffic snarls.

Fuchs will ask the state Department of Transportation to change signage at the intersection, which often backs up Route 107 during the morning commute, added the Redding Pilot.

The change would make the sign ineffective from 7 to 9 a.m. every morning for those driving to Georgetown. Drivers heading to Glen would still be required to stop. In addition, the chief will ask to make the exit from Glen Road right-turn-only, said the Redding Pilot.
