Stevenson Dam Closing To Traffic This Weekend

MONROE, Conn. -- Motorists should be ready to find an alternate route as maintenance work will close the Stevenson Dam Bridge for another weekend beginning on Saturday, June 25.

The Stevenson Dam Bridge will be closed over the weekend for maintenance work beginning at 6 a.m., Saturday, June 25.

The bridge will be closed from 6 a.m. on Saturday, June 25, and will re-open at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, June 26.

Traffic will be detoured onto Route 111, Route 110 and Bridge Street in the city of Shelton. Long-distance traffic is advised to take Route 8 and Interstate 84.

Motorists are advised to follow detour signs and directions of uniformed police officers.
