REDDING, Conn. -- Commuters should start planning now for a new route to work due to the complete closure of Route 53 in Redding beginning June 13, according to the Bethel Police Department.
Route 53 in Redding will be closed in both directions beginning June 13 for bridge replacement.

The closure is expected to last through the end of August.
