Route 136 Closed In Easton Due To Downed Pole

EASTON, Conn. — Route 136 is closed between Bibbins Road and Morehouse Road because of a downed utility pole on Wednesday afternoon, Easton Police said.

Route 136 in Easton from Morehouse Road up to Bibbins Road will be closed until Thursday morning.

Motorists are advised to follow the posted detour signs in the area. Route 136 is also known as Westport Road.

United Illuminating was reporting that the road will be closed until Thursday morning, police said.

A total of 21 customers in Easton are without power due to the downed pole, UI said.
