As of 8 p.m. Thursday, a total of 258 customers, or 7 percent of the town, were without power, according to Eversource. That is down from 377 outages at noon.
The Community Center will be open Saturday if needed, said First Selectman Julia Pemberton.
The town and Eversource continue to work to clear trees and open roads after the overnight storm knocked down trees and power lines.
Most of the outages are related to two circuits in town: one near Sanfordtown Road with 138 customers out and the other near Diamond Hill with 90 customers out, Pemberton said.
Eversource sets priorities by size — restoring to larger areas first, she said.
"We continue to communicate frequently with Eversource," Pemberton said. "I will continue to update you with new information as it becomes available. Thank you for your patience!"
