Power Outage Hits 1,800 Trumbull Customers

TRUMBULL, Conn. -- More than 1,800 people were without power in Trumbull Thursday afternoon, according to United Illuminating.

As of 1:45 p.m. there were seven outages in town, affecting 1,815 customers, UI reported. Nearby areas did not appear to be heavily affected, with Bridgeport experience two outages affecting two customers, and Easton seeing one outage affecting one customer.

UI did not announce a reason for the outages. Showers were forecast to hit Trumbull and the rest of Fairfield County Thursday, with a 100 percent chance of precipitation and gusts as high as 34 mph.
