Night Work Begins On Route 8 Bridges In Trumbull Next Week

TRUMBULL, Conn. -- Drivers can expect lane closures on Route 8 in Trumbull beginning next week as the Department of Transportation performs nighttime bridge maintenance.

The work consists of maintenance on the Route 15 northbound underpass and the Route 15 southbound underpass. The work is scheduled to take place from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning Monday, April 24 and lasting through Friday, May 12.

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 8 northbound and southbound between exit 8 (Route 108) and exit 11 (Huntington Road). Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide drivers through the work zone.

DOT warns that drivers should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen circumstances. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
