This includes all sporting events and practices.

The parent conferences scheduled for Jockey Hollow Middle School/ STEM are also canceled, said Jim Agostine, superintendent of schools, in a statement.

"Conferences will be rescheduled," he said. "Although this storm will not produce deep snow, the timing and the possibility of ice will impact travel during the commuting time and would likely require many conferences to be rescheduled."

Rain and light snow are in the forecast for Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service. About an inch of snow is forecast to fall by evening. The storm may affect the Tuesday afternoon commute but not the Wednesday morning drive.
