Easton Voters Approve Budgets For Town, Schools

EASTON, Conn. — Easton voters approved the town and school budgets in the town's annual referendum on Tuesday, according to the Easton Courier.

The two questions and the voting outcome on the ballot were, according to the Courier:

  • In a vote of 425 to 203, the town of Easton's $43,731,261 annual budget was approved for the fiscal year July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017. This includes Easton’s share of the Region No. 9 budget.
  • In a vote of 433 to 195, the Regional School District No. 9's budget of $23,280,891 was approved. Easton’s share is $10,988,581 and Redding’s share is $12,292,310.

Voters in Redding on Tuesday also approved the budgets for the town schools and for Region 9/Joel Barlow High School.
