Easton Resident Hailed As Hero After Finding Missing Man

EASTON, Conn. -- Easton resident Steve Klein didn't think much of the first Silver Alert he heard about a missing man from Newtown who was last seen walking on Eden Hill Road, according to the Easton Courier.

But after hearing the second alert while eating dinner, Klein became worried because of the cold weather approaching and decided to go out and look for the man on his own. As luck would have it, after driving for several miles and traversing several trails, he found the 73-year-old man huddled on one of the out-of-the-way trails, said the Easton Courier.

After finding the man, he notified authorities, and Newtown police arrived within minutes. Police said they would never have found the man at night on the deserted trail and that most likely he would not have survived the night, added the Easton Courier.
