Here are the Top 10 safest communities in Connecticut with the number of crimes per day:
ConsumerAffairs.com analyzed Federal Bureau of Investigation and Census Bureau data to create an interactive map displaying the safest cities in the United States.
The free interactive crime map combines crime data from the FBI and population data from the Census Bureau to rank every city in the continental U.S. according to five criteria: Burglary odds; change in burglary rate; number of police officers per capita; overall crime rate and number of crimes per day.
The FBI’s annual report Crime in the United States listed more than 8.27 million property crimes in 2014 costing victims $14.3 billion, according to the analysis. The estimated number of property crimes decreased 4.3 percent in 2014 compared to 2013.
