Connecticut Audubon Society Elects Trumbull Man As Board Chairman

TRUMBULL, Conn. -- Peter Kunkel, of Trumbull, was elected to be the Connecticut Audubon Society's new chairman of the board.

More than 100 people gathered at the Wadsworth Atheneum in Hartford to elect the new chairman, as well as new board members and officers and hear a keynote talk about the future of New England’s forest at the Connecticut Audubon Society’s 2015 annual meeting. 

Members bid farewell and thank you to Ralph Wood, of Glastonbury, after three years as chairman of the board and elected Kunkel as chairman.

Also elected to the executive committee were Alexander Brash as president, D.G. Warner, of Southport, as vice-chairman and treasurer, Joseph Blumberg as vice-chairman, Charles Stebbins, of Fairfield, as secretary and William Cotter, of Fairfield, as assistant secretary. 

Two new members were elected to the board, Gary B. O’Connor and Sam Gilliland Jr., both of Greenwich.
