The project consists of the full replacement of the bridge. The new structure will accommodate three 12-foot travel lanes and two 8-foot shoulders.

The plan consists of two stages of construction. In stage 1, traffic will be maintained on the existing bridge using the existing lanes and shoulder widths while the western portion of the bridge, road, sidewalk and drainage is constructed.

During stage 2, traffic will be shifted to the portion of the bridge and road constructed in stage 1 using two 11-foot lanes and two 1-foot shoulders. The eastern portion of the bridge and road will be constructed during this stage.

Ryegate Terrace will need to be closed during this stage of construction. A local detour will be used to maintain access to Ryegate Terrace. In addition, during construction, there will be alternating one way traffic on Route 111.
