Nichols Improvement Association Stages Derby Party Fundraiser In Trumbull

TRUMBULL, Conn. -- A Kentucky Derby Party fundraiser was hosted by the Nichols Improvement Association in Trumbull for the second time.

The 2016 Kentucky Derby winner was Nyquist, who also won the 2015 Breeders' Cup Juvenile. Nyquist is only the second horse to complete the Juvenile-Derby double.

The Nichols Improvement Association is a nonprofit organization of volunteers chartered with helping to preserve the heritage and character of the Nichols community. The association sponsors many family-oriented events throughout the year.
