Monroe Library Will Host Red Cross Blood Drive

MONROE, Conn. — An opportunity to make a difference in the lives of many is coming up in Monroe with a blood drive sponsored by the Red Cross on Saturday, May 7.

The Edith Wheeler Memorial Library will be hosting a hands-on virtual reality workshop this month.

The Edith Wheeler Memorial Library, 733 Monroe Turnpike, will host the Red Cross blood drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

To make an appointment to donate, citizens are encouraged to visit the Red Cross donation website, enter their zip code and follow the link to the Edith Wheeler Memorial Library sign up. It's also possible to make an appointment by calling 1-800-733-2767.

The donation process can be expedited by visiting the Red Cross' Rapid Pass website on May 7 to complete the pre-reading and donation questions online form ahead of time.

The Edith Wheeler Memorial Library is located at 733 Monroe Turnpike.
