Hometown Crowd Returns To Roots At Georgetown Day Festival

GEORGETOWN, Conn. — Big crowds came out for the 14th annual Georgetown Day Festival on Sunday, with vendors and visitors jamming Main Street for a day of entertainment, food and fun.

Live music was provided by local bands. And there was plenty of food of all kinds, a beer tent, a dunking booth, and activities for the kids.

The festival is sponsored by Georgetown Village Restoration Inc., the Georgetown Volunteer Fire Department, the Georgetown Community Association, and the Georgetown Lions Club.

Georgetown is located at the point where the towns of Wilton, Redding, Ridgefield, and Weston meet and is the home of many restaurants, bars, galleries and shops — all within walking distance.
