TRUMBULL, Conn. -- Trumbull First Selectman Tim Herbst helped kick off Trumbull Rotary's 50th anniversary celebration by reading a special proclamation at the group's annual golf outing.

The recent golf outing at Tashua Knolls in Trumbull included a barbecue lunch, on-course beverages, a cocktail hour and a dinner reception.

Rotarians participate in community service to improve life in the Trumbull community and meet community needs. Rotarians participate in club service by attending meetings and serving on a variety of committees for fundraising, service and membership. Rotarians also participate in International service to promote understanding, goodwill and peace.
