Easton Parents for a Better Playground members, along with Parks and Recreation Department Director Gary Simone, presented the check Sept. 1 to Easton's Board of Selectmen. The new playground features new equipment, shelter structures, safety surfaces and picnic tables, the Easton Courier reports.

The new playground equipment complies with Americans with Disabilities Act guidelines and is geared toward children ages 2-12. The current playground on town property near the Easton Community Center is aging, and some equipment has had to be removed, the Easton Courier says.
