Now through Dec. 31, patrons can bring non-perishable food items to the library checkout desk. For each item, librarians will subtract 50 cents from the patron's fines.

The offer does not apply to lost or damaged books.

Those who donate and don't have fines will receive a raffle ticket for each item. At the end of the month, the library will raffle off a $20 gift card to Linda's Story Time.

For more information, call the library at 203-452-2852.
