Redding Participates In Salvation Army Matching Dollars Program

REDDING, Conn. -- The Redding Social Service Department is participating in the Salvation Army Redding Matching Dollars Opportunity program.

The goal of this program is to provide comprehensive emergency assistance to seniors, the disabled and families suffering through hardship. The program will match every dollar that is raised until June 30.

Redding's goal is $5,000. So far, $475 has been raised towards this cause.

The Salvation Army's Comprehensive Emergency Assistance program focuses on providing services that will eliminate immediate crisis for individuals and families, such as housing, energy assistance, clothing and food.
