Little Libraries Pop Up In Monroe Thanks To Edith Wheeler Memorial Library

MONROE, Conn. — Book lovers may have noticed a big treat when visiting Wolfe Park and Great Hollow Lake in Monroe.

Two "mini-libraries" have popped up on the landscape at the two parks, thanks to the staff at the Edith Wheeler Memorial Library, according to the Town of Monroe.

The Wheeler Fund made a financial donation, and Jerry and Kathy Stevens designed and built the mini-libraries.

Patrons are invited to take part by borrowing a book and lending a book. It is free.

"Take a book, share a book," is the motto on the Little Library.
