Monroe Library Screening "The Revenant"

MONROE, Conn. — Monroe residents hoping to see Leonardo DiCaprio's Oscar-winning role will have the chance on May 3.

The Edith Wheeler Memorial Library, 733 Monroe Turnpike, in Monroe, will feature a free screening of "The Revenant," at 7 p.m. for May Movie Night.

The film follows frontiersman Hugh Glass (DiCaprio) in his exploration of unchartered wilderness in 1823.

A life-threatening bear attack and the death of his son (Forrest Goodluck) at the hands of a member of his hunting team (Tom Hardy) pushes Glass to the brink as he looks to survive and seek vengeance for his son's murder.

The film is rated R and has a running time of two hours and 37 minutes. Registration for the screening is not required.
