The event will be held on Wednesday, May 25, to raise support for various volunteer clubs and organizations that are not covered through the town budget.

"We have so many diverse programs whether academic, athletic, robotic, fine arts that each struggle every year to run fundraisers to support and build their individual programs," Vavrek said.

This year's proceeds will benefit Masuk Music Parents Association, Masuk All Sports Booster Club, Masuk Robotics and the Masuk Parent-Teacher Club.

"My desire to start this golf outing grew out of a desire to help these programs and more like them flourish. I believe that it is important for the Town of Monroe to support programs that provide for an extension of learning outside of the classroom," he added.

This year's Outing will be held at Whitney Farms Golf Course.
