The film is one of three award-winning foreign films that will kick off a new First Friday film series at the library.
Moviegoers will also receive a coupon for a half-price drink at the Redding Roadhouse.
Friday's movie is a tale of passion and romance that takes place in a small Mexican town and centers on the ill-fated romance of Tita and Pedro, who are bound by tradition and can never marry.
The R-rated film is 105 minutes long and was a New York Times Critics’ Pick and winner of 11 Ariel Awards, including Best Picture.
The film will be dubbed in English. Refreshments will be served.
