Historian Discusses Berlin Olympics Historical Role At Monroe Library

MONROE, Conn. -- Author and historian Mark Albertson will discuss the 1936 Olympics and how it foreshadowed the bitter events to come at an event at the Edith Wheeler Memorial Library in Monroe.

The talk is at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 12.

In addition to being the Olympic games in which Jessie Owens won four gold medals, there were countless side stories and undercurrents that made these among the most fascinating games in modern history.
