Create Nautical Tile Coasters at Monroe's Edith Wheeler Memorial Library

MONROE, Conn. -- The Edith Wheeler Memorial Library in Monroe will host two ceramic tile coaster workshops Wednesday, March 2 and Tuesday, March 15.

Join Kathy for an evening of decoupage with a nautical twist. Working with an assortment of bright, bold nautical papers, participants will have the opportunity to create up to six ceramic tile coasters with nautical flag motifs, perhaps spelling out a name or word of significance.

Papers will be applied using decoupage technique with cork applied on the underside to protect tabletops.

Registration is required. The event is limited to 16 people per class. All participants must call the library’s reference desk at 203-452-2852 at least 48 hours prior to class to confirm their attendance. If you do not call, the library will reserve the right to give your space to someone else.

The workshops are from 6:30-8 p.m.

The library is at 733 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe.
