Two-Part Business Series At Trumbull Library

TRUMBULL, Conn. -- The Trumbull Library will host "The Nuts & Bolts of Doing Business in the Cloud," a free two-part program, Thursday, Jan. 21 and Wednesday, Jan. 27.

With the speed and complexity of change going on today, the reliability and security of businesses using cloud computing is an important topic. Two presenters from Peralta Design -- Ramon Peralta, founder and creative director, and Jorge Pezo-Candelario, interactive design and web development -- will discuss these issues. The event is cosponsored by TLS and SCORE.

Cloud computing applications allow you to save on hardware costs, collaborate with team members, improve your company's efficiency and more. Participants will learn tools and techniques to bring your business into the 21st century. Register for Part 1 here.

  • Part 2: Security in the Cloud -- Wednesday, Jan. 27

Like all Internet-connected systems, cloud computing also has risks and potential pitfalls. The focus of the second session is basic knowledge to keep yourself, your files and your clients' information safe in the cloud. The speakers will discuss best practices and break down how to secure your home, mobile and work networks. Register for Part 2 here.

Each session is from 7-8:30 p.m. in the community room of the main library, 33 Quality St., Trumbull.
