Graduation Makes For A Busy Season For Monroe Frame Company

MONROE, Conn. – As the school year winds down, things are just ramping up for Lucie Voves and Church Hill Classics, a Monroe-based custom framing company.

Voves founded Church Hill Classics out of her basement in Newtown in 1991. Today, her company operates out of a 47,000-square-foot facility in Monroe. She also employs 100 workers.

“Lucie has been creating Connecticut jobs and Connecticut-made products for over 25 years," Sen. Chris Murphy said in a statement. "She’s stayed true to her Connecticut roots, and she’s set her employees and her company up for success. That’s something to be proud of."

The Monroe company has manufactured more than a million frames for its customers. It has served more than 1,600 accredited higher learning organizations, as well as the U.S. military, professional associations, Barnes & Noble College, Matthews Book Co., Texas Book Co., and various independent college bookstores.
