WESTON, Conn. -- Christina Balotescu, whose career encompasses the tasks of web developer, product innovator and founder/CEO of a company, is a finalist for an Edison award, reported the Easton Courier.

Balotescu, a Weston resident and Easton native, is the founder of 360Alumni, an alumni engagement company that seeks to keep graduates connected to each other and organizations, according to the company website.

The company is an Edison finalist in the Innovative Services Network & Funding category and will be featured at the Edison Awards Gala on April 21, according to the website.

With all-encompassing features, such as interactive maps, discussion boards, messaging and more, 360Alumni gives alumni the ability to create groups, lists and job posts on a single database to help with networking.

Since 1987, the Edison Awards have recognized and honored innovative new products, services and business leaders.
