Body Found On CT Roadway, Police Say Police are awaiting an autopsy report after a  woman's body was found on a Connecticut road near a wooded area. The woman was found around noon on Wednesday, March 16 in New Haven on the side of Springside Avenue. Police, who have not been identified the woman, are awaiting autopsy results on Thursday, March 17, before releasing additional information, said Officer Scott Shumway, of the New Haven Police. CT State Police Asking Public For Help Identifying Woman Found Dead On Side Of Highway State police are asking for the public’s help in finding out how a woman ended up dead on a Connecticut highway. The woman was found around 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 24, when troopers were dispatched to I-691 in Meriden by a caller who said someone was lying on the highway, said the Connecticut State Police. When troopers arrived on the scene, they found the woman who appeared to have been struck by a vehicle, state police said. The unidentified woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
