Greenwich Woman Found Dead In Stamford Park A 54-year-old Fairfield County woman who was found dead in a busy park likely died from a drug overdose, police said. The incident took place in Stamford in Mianus River Park around 8:50 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 5. The woman, identified as Melissa Tiefer, of Greenwich, was found after a person walking in the park early in the morning noticed her lying on a blanket off a trail and not moving, said Assistant Chief Richard Conklin, of the Stamford Police. Alert Issued For 54-Year-Old Missing Woman In Fairfield County Authorities are asking for help from the public in finding a missing 54-year-old woman with ties to numerous towns in Fairfield and New Haven counties.  Melissa Tiefer, age 54, was last seen in Stamford on Wednesday, June 21, according to Norwalk Police Deputy Chief of Operations Terrence Blake.  Tiefer, who has ties to Milford, Greenwich, and Norwalk, is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall and 125 pounds.
