Chris Concepcion, 24, of Bridgeport pleaded not guilty to charges of murder, weapons in a motor vehicle, criminal possession of a firearm, reckless endangerment, unlawful discharge of a firearm and carrying a firearm without a permit, the Connecticut Post reported. He requested a jury trial, and his case was continued to Sept. 26, according to the Connecticut Post.
Concepcion's arrest was connected to the fatal May 27 shooting of Andre Pettway, 27, of Bridgeport.

The shooting took place at about 6:50 p.m. on Garibalid Avenue in Stratford, according to police. Another man, 24-year-old Brandyn Ford of Stratford, was also charged with murder in connection with the shooting.
Police characterized the shooting as a drive-by, and said that Pettway was shot in the chest while leaving a birthday, according to the Connecticut Post. Investigators determined that Concepcion was the shooter, the Connecticut Post reported.
