Police in Fairfield County were called to 200 East Main St. in Stratford just after midnight on Sunday, Sept. 29, to reports of a takeover, authorities said.
When police arrived, many of the cars and pedestrians that gathered to watch scattered, but police were able to nab four of the participants, Stratford Police said.
Police arrested Carlos Sanchez Hernandez, age 20, Mailin Perez, age 19, Rodney Gist, age 25, and Tyler Ranger, age 26, authorities said. Each was being held on a $2,500 bond and charged with breach of the peace, Stratford Police said.
This is the second time a takeover has happened in Connecticut in just over a week.
More than 100 motorcycles took over I-95 around 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21, to film themselves popping wheelies and performing other stunts and tricks, Connecticut police said.
Authorities received multiple 911 calls about scores of bikes driving erratically on I-95 near Exit 46 in New Haven. Police tracked the mass of motorcycles using DOT cameras through New Haven, West Haven, Orange, Milford, and Stratford, Connecticut Police said.
Two men were later arrested in New York.
The incidents do not appear related.
