Armed, Dangerous Man Wanted For Broad Daylight Shooting In Bridgeport Police in Bridgeport are asking for the public's assistance in locating a man wanted in connection with a violent assault.  Tomas Elias LaPorte, age 48, of Bridgeport is wanted for the Wednesday, March 8 broad daylight attack of a man at the intersection of State Street & Iranistan Avenue, said Capt. Kevin Gilleran, of the Bridgeport Police. Police officers responded to the area and located a 52-year-old Bridgeport man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the leg, Gilleran said. Gang Member From Fairfield County Involved In Shootings Sentenced A Fairfield County gang member has been sentenced to 8.3 years in prison for offenses from his membership in a violent street gang.
