Troopers will be assigned to conduct roving patrols for nearly two weeks beginning on Friday, Dec. 20, as the roadways are expected to be filled with motorists traveling to see friends and family. Till The Cows Come Home: CT State Police Round Up Cattle On Highway It's about as unique a police call as you can get. At least in Connecticut. But on Friday, officers from Troop E in Montville helped round up about 10 cows that became loose along I-395 in Griswold. It's unclear how the cows got so close to the highway in southeastern Connecticut near Mohegan Sun or where they came from. All 10 cows wound up being safe and sound.
