Troopers Asking For Witnesses To Fiery Fatal Crash Off I-84 Police are asking the public for help identifying a vehicle, and the person who was killed during a fiery crash near I-84. The crash took place around 3 a.m., Thursday, April 4, on the Route 72 ramp to I-84 east in Plainville after the driver drove through the guardrail, struck a bridge abutment and the vehicle caught fire, Connecticut State police said. State Police Release DUI Patrol Info, Checkpoint Locations For Thanksgiving Week Details With tens of thousands of travelers driving through Connecticut during the Thanksgiving week, State Police are ramping up their plans to keep highways safe for all during the holiday rush.
