Actors Wanted For Television Show Filming In Stamford: Here Are Available Roles
Prospective actors who don't mind donning 18th-century-era costumes may be interested in auditioning for a television show set to film in Connecticut. An upcoming show centered around the Revolutionary War and George Washington titled "Revolution" will film in Fairfield County between Monday, March 25, and Friday, April 5 in Stamford, according to a casting call posted by Backstage. Western Connecticut State University Announces New Nickname
Western Connecticut State University (WCSU) in Danbury announced that following a multi-year discussion that included town halls and online balloting, the school will now identify as the “Wolves.” The Wolves nickname replaces “Colonial Chuck,” who reportedly raised concern for its representation of a violent period in American history by representing a minuteman from the Revolutionary War. Fourth Skeleton Found In Ridgefield
A fourth skeleton, possibly from a soldier in the Revolutionary War, has been unearthed in Fairfield County. In December, state officials reported the discovery of a well-preserved skeleton “in an area that suggests they may have been a soldier in the Battle of Ridgefield,” State Archaeologist Nick Bellantoni said. The site of the burial is on private property and not open to visitors. While investigating the first burial, officials uncovered two more bodies along the way.
