Ned Lamont called for an overhaul of the state’s sales tax system, “sin” taxes and laid out ways to start digging the state out of debt. On Wednesday, Feb. 20, in the Hall of the House of Representatives in the State Capitol, Lamont discussed his proposed budget, a two-year, $43.1 billion taxing and spending plan.
