Eight Unlocked Vehicles Broken Into In Darien, Police Say
Police issued an alert after nearly a dozen unlocked vehicles were broken into in Darien.
On Wednesday, Sept. 2, the Darien Police Department announced that nine cars had recently been burglarized, with open storage compartments and disturbed items from those compartments strewn throughout the vehicles.
Nine break-ins and attempted break-ins were reported on Oakshade Avenue, Stanley Road, Libby Lane, Holly Lane, and Hollow Tree Ridge Road between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 25.
No items were stolen in eight of the break-ins, though a tool was taken from a vehicle on Holly Lane.
