A Fairfield County man is behind bars after allegedly reporting a kidnapping and armed robbery in the parking lot of a Stop & Shop.
Danbury resident Diego Vizhco, age 38, was charged on Wednesday, Sept. 27, for falsely reporting a robbery on Newtown Road on Sunday, Sept. 10, at the store on Newtown Road.

Three Injured When Jeep Crashes Into SUV Head On In Fairfield County
Three people were injured during a head-on crash in Fairfield County.
According to Danbury police, the crash took place around 11:46 p.m. Friday in the area of 26 Newtown Road, said Det. Lt. Mark Williams.
The crash occurred when a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Eueal Dagne, 38, of Bethel, traveling westbound on Newtown Road collided head-on with a 2002 GMC Envoy, driven by Robert Bates, 54, of Brookfield, along with passenger, Lisa Munger, 49, of New Milford, Williams said.
Both drivers and the passenger were transported to Danbury Hospital for injuries sustained in the crash.

Woman With Five Kids Arrested After Apparent Danbury Kidnapping
Connecticut State Police apprehended a woman wanted for kidnapping after locating her car at a Danbury gas station.
The incident took place Tuesday after troopers received a notice to be on the lookout for a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer from Pittsfield, Mass., with a woman and five children, said Trooper Kelly Grant.
According to officials, the woman, Shareen Tanna, 40, had taken her three children in violation of a custodial interference order, along with two others and had threatened to harm herself and the children.
She was believed to be traveling to Rochester, N.Y., where she had a home…
