Man Admits To Rape, Robbery In Fairfield
A 48-year-old man with a lengthy rap sheet has admitted to raping and robbing a woman on her way home from the Fairfield train station in 2016. With his trial approaching, New Haven resident Michael Fontaine pleaded guilty in court to first-degree sexual assault and first-degree robbery on Friday. He is scheduled to be sentenced on April 26, when he is expected to be handed a 25-year term behind bars.
