DUI Crash: 34-Year-Old Westport Woman Hits Guardrail, Fence, Police Say A local woman was charged with DUI after allegedly driving into a guardrail and then hitting a fence in Fairfield County. Charlotte Singer, age 34, of Westport, was arrested on Sunday, July 2 around 8:45 p.m. in Westport. According to Lt. Eric Woods, of the Westport Police, officers responded to the area of Kings Highway North and Canal Park for a one-car crash.  Upon arrival, officers located a car that crashed into a guardrail and fence near Canal Park, Woods said. Easton Man With Bottles Of Vodka In Car Was Under Influence, Westport Police Say A Fairfield County man was busted for driving while intoxicated after he was pulled over with an empty bottle of vodka in his backseat during the middle of the day, police said. Police in Westport stopped Easton resident John Finneran at approximately noon on Aug. 2, when officers received a report of a man driving erratically on Main Street. Officers eventually tracked down the car and conducted a traffic stop on Kings Highway North.
