ID Released For Man Caught Minutes After Robbing Bank In Stamford, Police Say A man who was nabbed within minutes of robbing a Stamford bank has been identified by police. Charles Redshirt, 35, of Stamford, was arrested by police in just 8 minutes after robbing the First Bank of Greenwich at 900 Summer St., around 12:50 p.m. Monday, said the Stamford Police Department. Officers Christopher Festa and John McClafferty arrived on scene less than a minute from the initial call. Suspect Caught Within Minutes After Robbing Stamford Bank, Police Say A suspect was apprehended just minutes after robbing the First Bank of Greenwich, Stamford Police said. The robbery took place around 12:50 p.m. Monday at the bank on Summer Street, said Capt. Richard Conklin. According to Conklin, police have arrested the suspect and retrieved the money and the note used in the commission of the robbery.
