New Canaan Woman Nabbed For DUI, Resisting Arrest, Police Say
A Fairfield County woman was charged with DUI after an officer saw her allegedly running a stop sign and then smelled of alcohol. The incident occurred in New Canaan around 5 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 25, in the area of Ponus Ridge Road and Davenport Ridge Road. According to Lt. Marc DeFelice of the New Canaan Police, an officer on patrol observed a vehicle fail to obey a stop sign. The officer conducted a traffic stop and identified the operator as Emily Zuwlyya, age 46, of New Canaan. 20-Year-Old From Norwalk Surrenders After Causing Reckless Driving Crash In Darien, Police Say
A 20-year-old man accused of causing a single-car crash in Fairfield County has surrendered to police more than a month later. The wreck happened Sunday, Sept. 3, in Darien on Hollow Tree Ridge Road near Allwood Road, according to Darien Police. An investigation found that Griffin Makovsky, of Norwalk, was speeding and ran a stop sign before crashing over a rock wall and striking a tree. DUI Crash: New Canaan Man Charged After Hitting Embankment, Police Say
A Fairfield County man was charged with driving under the influence after allegedly losing control of his vehicle and hitting an embankment. The incident took place in New Canaan around 1:30 a.m., Sunday, May 21 in the area of Marvin Ridge Road and Nursery Road. New Canaan Police Department Lt. Marc DeFelice said when officers arrived on the scene they found Jeffrey Bussan, age 56, in a vehicle that left the roadway and struck an embankment.
