Covid-19: Ctdot Takes Precautions For Public Transportation System Connecticut transportation officials are taking extra precautions for the state's public transportation system as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak. Metro-North Schedule Changes During Construction Set To Go Into Effect Commuters traveling on Metro-North trains may see some changes as the railroad prepares to start new scheduled work on the New Haven line. Beginning on Sunday, April 14, construction will begin on the tracks in an effort to improve reliability on the rails and improve speed in the future, causing changes to the regular schedule, the MTA announced. The schedule changes are expected to last through at least June 29. The crash took place around 3 a.m., Thursday, April 4, on the Route 72 ramp to I-84 east in Plainville after the driver drove through the guardrail, struck a bridge abutment and the vehicle caught fire, Connecticut State police said.
