A young child was struck and killed by a car in a parking lot in Fairfield County. The incident took place in Danbury around 2 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 22 in the area of Shelter Rock Road. According to Erin Henry of the Danbury Police, officers were dispatched to a home on Shelter Rock Road for a report of a motor vehicle accident involving a young child. The crash took place Monday, March 6 in Bridgeport, according to Scott Appleby with the Bridgeport Police. A middle school student was killed during a fire at his residence in Fairfield County Redding. The blaze began around 11:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 14 in Redding at the Karlson family home on Diamond Hill Road, officials said.
