Man Wanted In New Jersey Arrested On Shoplifting Charge In Norwalk NORWALK, Conn. -- A man wanted in New Jersey was arrested in Norwalk after he tried to $93.80 in items from Walmart on Thursday night, police said. Justin Jones, 29, of 1350 5th Ave, New York, was held on $100,000 bond for being a fugitive from justice, police said. He was also charged with sixth-degree larceny. Norwalk Police said the man was seen using the self-checkout but not scanning a number of items at about 7:30 p.m. He was stopped and police were called. Stamford Cell Phone Store Hit Again In Burglary STAMFORD, Conn., -- A West Main Street cellphone store was hit again in a smash and grab early Thursday morning. A burglar smashed his way his way into the Boost Mobile store at 3:43 a.m. and snatched a Boost Burner phone from the store at 210 W. Main St. Police said video showed the burglar was in the store for only about 30 seconds. Police responded to the store after the burglar alarm went off but the suspect had fled the scene. Last week two teens were arrested shortly after they had broken into the store stealing four phones.

Stamford Police: Burglar Smashes Glass Door, Steals $10,000 In Jewelry STAMFORD, Conn. — About $10,000 worth of jewelry was stolen from a Rolling Wood Drive home Wednesday night by a burglar who smashed a sliding glass door, Stamford Police said. After entering the home, the burglar went straight to the master bedroom and grabbed the jewelry, police said. There was no description given of the jewelry, Sgt. Robert Shawinsky said. Woman Charged With Assaulting Stamford Emergency Room Doctor STAMFORD, Conn. -- A patient repeatedly punched an emergency room doctor on the right forearm after the doctor had reached over to help the woman find a number on her cell phone Tuesday afternoon, police said Veronica Delgado, 38, of 85 Cove Road was charged with an assault on an emergency room worker, which is a felony, and third-degree assault and disorderly conduct. Norwalk Man Arrested After Elderly Relative Found On Feces-Covered Floor NORWALK, Conn. — A Norwalk man has been arrested after an elderly relative was found unresponsive and malnourished on a feces-covered floor at her Wilton Avenue home on Nov. 18, Norwalk Police said Wednesday. Anthony Winley, 58, of 58 Wilton St., Norwalk, was charged with first-degree reckless endangerment and cruelty to persons. Norwalk Police Bust Suspected Heroin Dealer After Making Undercover Buys NORWALK, Conn. — One of a Norwalk man's best customers turned out to be Norwalk police, who arrested him Monday afternoon on charges of dealing heroin, police said. Bridgeport Man's Cold Weapon Lands Him In Hot Water With Norwalk Cops NORWALK, Conn. — A Bridgeport man who reported his handgun had been stolen from a backpack in his car when he went to a Norwalk bar on the weekend, later called police to say he found it — in his refrigerator. But there was still one problem for Edward Reeves, 40, of 45 Bishop Ave., police said. When he took the weapon in to Norwalk Police Headquarters on Sunday to prove he had recovered it, officers told him his magazine with 16 bullets was a no-no, and he was issued a ticket for possession of a large-capacity magazine, police said.

Norwalk Teen Busted On Multiple Drug Charges NORWALK, Conn. — A Norwalk man was arrested on multiple drug charges after investigation began last month, police said. Police: Stamford Man's Traffic Violations Lead To Drug Arrest STAMFORD, Conn. — A Stamford man might have avoided a drug charge if he had worn his seatbelt — and then not made an illegal turn — when he was driving in downtown Stamford on Saturday afternoon, police said.
