Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Strong Winds From Debby Knock Out Power To Thousands On Long Island Strong gusty winds of around 40 to 50 miles per hour from Tropical Depression Debby have left thousands without power on Long Island. At around 5:45 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9, more than 4,400 customers were in the dark, and 202 active outages were reported. Most of those without power are in Nassau County (2,854). Suffolk County has 1,123 customers reporting the loss of electricity, with 539 in the Rockaway Peninsula. It happened just after 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, in Mount Sinai. The victim was driving a black 2012 Kawasaki motorcycle in the wrong direction on southbound Patchogue-Mount Sinai Road, when he collided with a 2022 Honda CR-V at the intersection of Canal Road. 30-Year-Old From Mastic Dies After Being Found Injured On Moriches Roadway A local man has died after being found unconscious on a Long Island roadway. At about 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 5, a 911 caller reported the injured man lying on the road in Moriches, Suffolk County Police said. The man, John Ballard, age 30, of Mastic, was rushed to Long Island Community Hospital in Patchogue.
