Youth Football Players Invited To Try Out For All-Star Teams

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – Youth football players from Fairfield County are invited to try out for Team Connecticut South, which will play in the Football University National Championship tournament.

Players in grades 6-8 can try out for the teams on Monday, Oct. 14, at Cheshire Academy. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. Tryouts begin at 10 a.m.

Players selected to Team Connecticut South will join a regional all-star team that will compete for a spot to play in the FBU National Championship tournament. The regional champions will play in the national championship in San Antonio. Team Connecticut South is similar to a baseball all-star team that competes in regional and national competition.

Players can be affiliated with any league and there is no weight restriction. The tryout costs $35 and includes a t-shirt. Practices will begin after the regular season for youth teams conclude.
