The Westhill High School junior varsity baseball team continued its winning streak Monday by beating Fairfield Warde, 15-3. Walter Martinez pitched a complete game, giving up only one earned run and striking out four.
Sean Remondino went one-for-two with a single, one RBI, three walks, four runs scored and two stolen bases to jumpstart the Vikings. Ronald Jackson also had a big day at the plate, going three-for-four with three singles, one RBI, four runs scored and two stolen bases. Dalton Abel had a great diving catch in left field behind Martinez to keep a run from scoring. Defense infielders Ronnie Jackson, Billy Murphy, Ryan Duggan and Andrew Puccella all were strong in keeping Warde off the bases.
Westhills JV Baseball Team record is 6-3-1 for the season. Its next game is Wednesday against Trinity Catholic High School at 4 p.m. It plays St. Josephs at Rippowam Middle School at 4 p.m. Friday.
